TriLibrium has leased office space in the 2100 NE Broadway  building and will be taking occupancy by February 1st.  The building’s owners are committed to meeting or exceeding LEED standards although it is not certified.  We appreciate the convenient location, neighborhood, ample bike parking, building showers, low VOC paint, ground source heat exchanger, responsive landlord & management, proximity to Zipcars and primary bicycle corridors, as well as the open air atrium.

We are pleased to announce that Jerry Catlin, MBA, CPA, has accepted an offer to join the TriLibrium team.  Jerry’s official start date is still undecided as he works to wrap up his existing obligations.  However, we are very excited to know he’ll join us soon and we look forward to using his skills and passion to serve our expanding client base.  Besides outstanding credentials, we knew Jerry was the right person when he shared his story about once biking over 100 miles each way to attend a Natural Step training workshop.   Read his bio here.

TriLibrium will be offering a  workshop “Tax and Business Strategies for the Single-Owner Business.”  The workshop will be in Portland on Friday, October 30th from 11am-2pm.  Cost is $25 for clients and $40 for non-clients - lunch included. Founder Brian Setzler has been invited to speak to the Executive MBA students at the University of Oregon in Eugene on September 11, 2009.  Brian plans to discuss sustainable business practices, Triple-Bottom Line accounting, metrics, frameworks for sustainability and the crossroads of accounting, business and sustainability with these future business leaders.
